33 Week Bumpdate

33 weeks sound so overwhelming far along in pregnancy, it’s kind of blowing my mind.  I am trying to not let the overwhelming feeling over take me too much, but it’s kind of hard to not be overwhelmed by everything that we still have yet to do/buy for this sweet little girl.  I know somehow it will all get done, and even if it doesn’t it will be okay, but my OCD personality is really having a hard time settling on that fact.  I just feel like 7 weeks is far too short a time! LOL!! Maybe that sounds ridiculous to you, but since I am always Ms. 10 steps ahead of everything it’s honestly freaking me out a bit.  On the other hand, the reality of seeing our sweet little girl in a very short time is really starting to get me super excited!! I cannot wait to see her sweet face and smooch all over her! I know that the minute she is here in my arms everything else that feels so important to me right now, will just fade away and figure itself out.

So, let's recap week 32!

Symptoms: My perpetual symptoms have continued to hang around, and I am confident at this point that until I pop out this little darling nothing much is going to change.  Acid reflux is truly my nemesis and honestly some times feels like it is out to get me! I am so looking forward to not having to deal with that anymore, it’s my #1 thing I am looking forward to most.  Other than the usual, I am starting to have more leg cramps while sleeping which makes it difficult to find a comfortable position from time to time.   Mostly, I cannot really complain though, things have been going smooth!

Bumpdate: The belly is getting rounder and rounder by the minute (or so I feel).  This little girl makes me feel like I am smuggling some bowling balls or something in there! LOL!! Having this bump is definitely making it harder to breathe especially going up and down stairs or walking for a long time.  Thankfully I can still tie my own shoes, but I am thinking that responsibility is going to fall to Scott here in the next couple weeks as I am finding it harder each time.

Cravings: I am finding that my cravings kind of go in patterns.  I still love sweets of course, but I am back to wanting big yummy salads! Nothing sounds more delicious around lunch time to me! I am finding that I am getting to be more and more hungry especially at night time.  I am waking up again early in the morning or in the middle of the night with a rumbling stomach. I could honestly eat a meal at that time, but I am usually so exhausted that I force myself back to sleep…not sure how long Emma will let me do that though as she continues to pack on that cute baby chub that I will get to squeeze soon!

What I'm looking forward to:  FINALLY getting our rocking glider! It should be here this week and I am so excited about having it.  It’s one of the last BIG pieces that we need for her nursery and I think having it there will make me feel a bit more at ease that things are coming together, where or not it’s at the pace that I like, it’s happening and that’s all that matters right?!

Best moment this week:  Getting to tour the hospital where we will be delivering baby girl at!! It was so exciting/weird to see everything first hand, it really made her arrival feel like it will be here soon! We couldn't be happier about where we will have her.  Not only is it close to home, but they are just finishing a complete re-model of the birth center and nearly all the rooms are completely upgraded and brand new.  It was so surreal to tour everything, and when we were leaving I told Scott that the next time we leave there, we will be leaving WITH our little girl.  WOW! That is for sure a crazy thought!

19 Week Bumpdate

19 weeks, seriously where is the time going?! I cannot believe in ONE week we will be halfway through this pregnancy! That is completely banana's to me! Nevertheless it is so exciting to be getting further along and in the next few weeks we will start prepping the nursery for this sweet little one!

So, let's recap week 18!

Symptoms:  Well my old friend acid reflux is still around and kicking, but it has eased up a bit this week.  And by ease up I mean still being there but not every day...thankfully!!  The only other thing I have been having is leg cramps at night when I am trying to lay in one position in bed for a long time.  I am not sure if it's just the being still part that causes it, but that's the only time of the day I really get them. Thankfully this was an easy week for symptoms, well who I am kidding here this whole pregnancy has been fairly easy symptoms wise.  Praise God for that!!

Bumpdate:  Baby just keeps growing and growing! My pants are getting tighter in the belly and I pretty much wear my belly band with every single pair of pants now.  I am definitely going to need to stock up here soon on some maternity pants.

Cravings:  I have just been SO thirsty this week! Nothing food wise has been calling my name, but I just could drink juice, milk, or water all day long.  Maybe it's this random October heat wave that is causing it who knows?!

What I'm looking forward to: Is it Friday yet?!! I can hardly stand that we are only TWO days away from seeing this beautiful little baby!!! I cannot imagine how adorable they must look now and I cannot wait to find out if we are on team pink or team blue.  I still think it's a BOY so we will see if my gut hunch is right!

Best moment this week:  Feeling baby's movements getting stronger! I cannot wait for more consistent kicks and punches throughout the day.  I think I felt something close a kick the other day, but they are still more nudges than anything else.  Soon and very soon they will be announcing to the world that they are inside and active!

18 Week Bumpdate

I cannot believe that I'm only 2 weeks away from the halfway point! How in the world can that be?! I feel like time is just flying by and this baby is going to be here before we know it.  I am loving having a more "real" BUMP and having people clearly notice that this little one is taking up room in this belly as the continue to grow more and more each day!

So, let's recap week 17!

Symptoms:  I feel like a broken record with this, but acid reflux, acid reflux, and more acid reflux.  I've just decided that this is going to be sticking around for the rest of this pregnancy, and I am alright with that.  Some of these things are just part of the package deal, right?  Other than that, I have started to have a few backaches, and leg cramps.  From what I've read that's also part of the deal in the stage, thankfully it's not anything that is completely unbearable.

Bumpdate:  Baby is definitely taking up more and more space in there, and I feel like I am getting bigger every day.  I am loving that the bump is rounding out and looking like a pregnant belly! YAY!

Cravings:  I have been going through phases of cravings! Early in my pregnancy I craved salad's hard core, I just couldn't get enough, then I switched to pasta's and wanted that seemingly all the time.  Now, I am back to salad! I just love a big hearty salad nothing sounds more delish to me!

What I'm looking forward to: Next week and the big gender reveal!!! I cannot wait to see baby all formed and looking like an itty bitty one!!! Last time we saw the babe they were just an little bean, so it's going to be so great to see what they look like now and find out if we are team pink or team blue.  I still think it's a BOY so we will see if my gut hunch is right!

Best moment this week:  Baby is getting more active, and even though I don't feel it all day, every day they are becoming stronger nudges instead of just little flutters. I cannot wait for more solid kicks and bumps from this sweet little baby!

17 Week Bumpdate

I'm totally looking pregnant now right?! I feel like the BUMP is pooping and it's clear that I'm pregnant and not just overdoing the donuts! LOL!! I cannot believe I'm at 17 weeks pregnant! Ekkk!! I know most first time Mommy's to be are always anxious and want time to fly by, but I'm not wanting this pregnancy to speed up any faster than it is going already.  I obviously cannot wait to see this precious babe, but I am okay with it taking time to get there.  We have SO much to figure out still for baby, and will need all the time in can get to sort through it before baby comes.

So, let's recap week 16!

Symptoms:  Acid Reflux night and day! I cannot seem to get away from this thing!! It doesn't matter what I eat, it always seems to pop up and say "HELLO!!".  I just have a feeling that this is going to stick around for awhile...and by awhile I mean until this kid comes out! LOL!

Bumpdate:  Hellllllo baby bump!!! Yup, there's a baby in there and it's starting to show! I am using my belly band on all my pants since almost all of them don't button any more.  I will definitely need to get some maternity pants soon!

Cravings:  CANDY!! I have been craving candy since this weekend, and I went to the grocery store yesterday and couldn't resist buying two HUGE bags of Halloween candy.  You should seen my husband's face, he couldn't believe that I bought so much.  It just all sounded so good to me!

What I'm looking forward to: Finding out if it's a boy or girl!!! I seriously cannot wait to know and start getting all their room and clothes together!

Best moment this week:  Baby's flutters are turning into baby nudges and bumps!!!  No solid kicks yet or strong movements yet, but they are getting more consistent and stronger each day.  I can't wait for a REAL kick to get me! :)

16 Week Bumpdate

16 weeks, 4 months pregnant! How craaaazy is that?! I feel like the past month flew by and soon enough we will be approaching the 20 week mark!  I want time to go by fast because I can't wait to meet this sweet little one, but yet I am terrified that it's going to go by way too fast and I want it slow down.  Pregnancy is definitely the ultimate catch 22! :)

So, let's recap week 15!

Symptoms:  Can we say ACID REFLUX?! If there is one main symptom from this past week, that would be the theme.  It has been anything but fun, and it seems like it doesn't really matter what I eat because it all ends in the same result.  It has been on and off for the past week and I would love for it to disappear, but I have heard that it something that might stick around for the rest of the time that baby is in there cooking.

Bumpdate:  I feel like we have a "real" bump! Today was the first time someone actually commented to me that I am obviously showing.  I did finally have to get a belly band to help me get into some of my smaller sized pants because they just wouldn't button anymore.  I am excited to be looking more obviously pregnant!!!

Cravings:  Not too many things this week, chocolate and sweets have been hitting me on and off, but then I will want some dill pickle chips so it's kind of a mixed bag!!! LOL!!

What I'm looking forward to: Finding out if it's a boy or girl!!! I seriously cannot wait to know and feeling baby really kick and move!

Best moment this week:  Getting the crib and changer and putting them in the room!! It's starting to feel like a nursery! Also, I finally felt my first baby flutters this week!!!  YAY! I kind of doubted it was the baby at first, but then I kept feeling similar things on and off so I knew it just had to be the baby!!! Definitely the best thing I have experienced to date in this pregnancy!

so much more than it seems....

To many in this world, the two large boxes sitting on the floor in what is to be our baby's nursery would appear simply average and normal, just like another other package that one would receive.  However, today as I sat there looking at those boxes on the floor, to me it was so much more than that.  I can't tell you how many times when we were trying to conceive that I would sit in that empty room and dream of the day that would be working to make it into a nursery for our sweet little one.  Many times I would sit there, holding back tears wishing that I was doing so much more than just dreaming and wishing for a baby.  As I mentioned in my first post, the year plus of time that we tried for a baby came with many ups and downs.  In those times that I would sit in that empty barren room, I felt that it was a reflection of what was going on in our lives right at that moment.  I knew that someday all the things I was dreaming about would becoming a reality, but it felt like an eternity away.  Today looking at those boxes, I felt like it was a part of my dream coming to life before my eyes.  Those ugly brown boxes represent many hours of dreaming come to reality.  There are times when I still cannot believe that God has answered my prayer for a baby, and we are preparing for our sweet little angels arrival.

As I began to hang up what is the beginning on many clothes to come for baby Dodge, it was a simple and sweet moment that I know I won't ever forget.  Again, another completely mundane task for many, but it was another answer to my heart's desire that has been many months in the making.  I can't help but sit and treasure every little outfit, and dream of how sweet and adorable baby is going to look in them.  I think of how their cute little face will look, and how I can't wait to squeeze them and kiss them.  I think of the mornings when Daddy will be getting them dressed in these clothes, and of the night times where I will get to snuggle them close and rock them to sleep kissing their sweet little baby hands, and my heart is completely over joyed.  I can't wait to continue to work on this nursery, and make it the perfect home for this sweet little answer to our prayers.  I plan to fully treasure each and every moment.

15 Week Bumpdate

Can it really be that I am 15 WEEKS along?! I feel like time is flying by, yet at the same time going oh so slow.  It's crazy to think that in 5 short weeks we will be at the official halfway mark! Wow! That is exciting and scary all at the same time.  I feel like my belly is growing more and more each day, and it's starting to look like there is a baby growing in there.  I can't wait to see it get bigger as the weeks continue on.

So, let's recap week 14!

Symptoms:  This week has brought on some new symptoms for me.  I have been having a lot more heartburn, unfortunately, and it is not my favorite thing at all.  For me, heartburn hits with the acid burning in the back of my throat and no where else.  I guess it's more acid reflux than heartburn, but I read that the two are connected.  Needless to say, it's very annoying! Thankfully it hasn't been happening every day, but definitely enough to be annoying.  Another thing that is new this week is a stuffy nose!! I thought that I might been getting some type of cold since I was so plugged up, but I was reading today in one my handy-dandy pregnancy apps that your nose getting stuffed up is a common symptom around this time.  Who would have ever thought that?!

Bumpdate:  The bump seems to be getting bigger every day.  The belly is starting to round out, especially at the bottom of my stomach.  I am still in all my regular clothes, but I don't know how much longer that will be lasting.  I honestly cannot wait for the belly to look obviously pregnant! I still feel a bit like it looks like I am chubber but I think it's starting to grow out of that awkward phase.

Cravings: Orange juice has been a craving that I keep forgetting to mention! I feel like I could honestly drink a whole pitcher of it by myself, it is just so refreshing and delicious!!! I have been craving Benihana which is hysterical, of course I would crave an expensive restaurant! LOL!! I am still not one who has massive cravings that constantly hit me, so I honestly can't think of much other than those things right now.

What I'm looking forward to: Finding out the baby's gender and starting to feel the baby moving around in there! I have been feeling a lot more like pressure and tugs in the belly, but not movement yet.  I just cannot wait to feel baby in there! I know it will be such an amazing experience!

Best moment this week: Ordering our crib and changing table!!!! Our first BIG nursery purchases!!! We decided to buy them now since Target is having their annual baby sale and we got the changer on sale, as well as free crib mattress, and discounted shipping! We should be getting it by the end of this week and I cannot wait to start putting it together!!!

14 Week Bumpdate

14 weeks sounds so crazy to me! I cannot believe how the weeks are flying by, yet going so slow at the same time.  There is so much to look forward to over the next month or so that I feel like I want time to go by fast, but then when I stop to really think about it I don't want this pregnancy to fly by.  I know we have SO much to get gone before baby arrives and I really want to enjoy every moment and not wish it to go by fast.  I know that this pregnancy will fly by on it's on without me wishing for it to go faster, and for now I am okay with savoring each day.

So, let's recap week 13!

Symptoms:  I still have been having headaches off and on, but it seems like they have been less than previous weeks.  Unfortunately, still having breakouts but even that seems a little bit better.  I had my first little experience with heartburn, although I didn't know what it was until I watched someone else's video on YouTube and she described the symptoms of it and I was like, Oh that's what it was!!! LOL!! Obviously it wasn't anything too severe!  Baby has been waking me up in the middle of the night BEGGING me to eat something.   It's so crazy! For like 3-4 nights in a row this happened and finally I ate last night, literally before laying my head down and that seemed to help baby make it through the night.

Bumpdate:  The bump is popping!!! I am still not in any maternity clothes, but the bump is becoming more pronounced for sure!! I am thinking in a few weeks I will have to get some new pants because things are getting tighter for sure.   Even though I kind of hate the pictures above, it definitely will show you that the bump is coming. :)

Cravings:  This week everyone and their mom has been posting pictures of food from the fair and it all looks so yummy, so I guess anything deep fried! LOL!!! People have been talking about deep fried pickles and that seriously sounds like heaven! I have loved pickles forever and ever so it's not a pregnancy thing but deep fried just sounds so right.  Other than that, a DQ dilly bar has been calling my name.  LOL! It's horrible to think about how horrible both of those things are for you to eat, but they just sound good!

What I'm looking forward to:   OCTOBER 7th!!!! That is the day we get our anatomy ultrasound and will get to find out if we are having a baby boy or baby girl!! I cannot wait!!! I also am sooooooo looking forward to starting to feel baby move around in the belly!

Best moment this week: Getting to hear the baby's heartbeat again and getting to have Scott hear it for the first time.  It is the most wonderful sound I have ever heard in my whole life, and even though it's just a heartbeat it's MY baby's heartbeat.  There really are no words for that.  Getting to share that with my husband was just so wonderful.  It made my heart so happy to see him smiling from ear to ear listening to baby for the first time.  I will never forget that moment ever!

It's Intelligender Time!!!!

So if you noticed in my last blog post I mentioned that I had ordered an Intelligender test!  I know they are not 100% accurate, so I mostly did it for the fun of it.  Their website says that it is roughly 90% accurate in most people who test, and from the amount of people that I have seen do them that is right on.

If you aren't familiar with IntelliGender, it is an early gender prediction test that can be taken as soon as 10 weeks.  It bases the boy or girl result on how your first morning urine reacts with the chemicals in the test and gives you a clear boy or girl result.  If the sample turns orange it is a GIRL, and if it turns green it is a BOY!  Side note/tip, if you are going to do an IntelliGender test order it from Amazon.com for HALF the price of buying it in the store! That is what I did, and I am all for saving money.

So, I took my this morning and here is what the result ended up being!!! :)

Yup, I would say that is a clear BOY result!!!! YAY! We both really would love to have a little boy first and my gut feeling so far has been boy, so this definitely made me smile this morning.  Like I said before, I understand it is not as accurate as an ultrasound, and I am not going to paint the nursery or tell people we are having a boy.  But it is definitely fun to have this line up with what my gut feeling says, and so we will on October 7th if it ends up being right or not!

...I hope it is right! :)

13 Week Bumpdate

Hello second trimester!!!!!!!!! I cannot believe that I am THIRTEEN weeks pregnant!!! How crazy is that?! I am so excited to finally be in the second trimester.  I feel like there is so much to look forward to over the upcoming weeks.  Finding out the baby's gender, getting to feel the baby move, and finally having a real BUMP!

So, let's recap week 12!

Symptoms:  I have been having headaches on and off, and they are anything but fun.  Thankfully I don't get too many at work because that would make me cry.  They are very strong and nothing seems to make them go away except for napping.  I haven't been feeling as tired as I did the previous weeks, but I still am tired later in the day.  I am happy to be getting some of my energy back and I hope that will continue on for the next few weeks.  Other than that, the only constant annoying symptom is breakouts! YUCK! I feel like a super awkward teenager sometimes, but it comes with the territory and I happy to deal with just that one annoyance instead of many of the other ones that other people have. :)

Bumpdate:  I feel the bump a'coming! LOL!! I haven't bought any maternity pants or clothes yet because most of my clothes still fit since I lost a lot of weight before getting pregnant.  However, my smaller sized stuff is starting to get a little tight.  I was putting on a skirt this morning and noticed that the belly wasn't fitting quite like it did last week.  I honestly can't wait to have a real bump and not look awkward fat instead! LOL! :)

Cravings:  I still am not having super strong cravings for food.  I have things that sound good from time to time, but for the most part everything is okay with me.  One thing I have noticed this week is that I am SUPER thirsty and cannot seem to get enough to drink.

What I'm looking forward to: FRIDAY!!! We get to see the Dr again and Scott will get to hear the baby's heartbeat! YAY! I cannot wait to hear it again and have him hear it for the first time.  Also, I cannot wait to find out the baby's gender and start to feel them move around in there.  SO exciting!

Best moment this week: Getting my Intelligender test in the mail! I cannot wait to see what it says, and yes I know it's not totally accurate but it IS fun!

Completely Amazed

Every day as I spend time praying over this baby, and learning more about how they are growing and developing I am constantly amazed at what an awesome miracle pregnancy truly is.  I have always know what a marvelous and creative God I serve, but nothing truly opens your eyes to how great He really is like learning about how your baby is growing and developing.

Every little amazing detail about this tiny little thing inside me is being planned out and perfected by God.  How amazing is that?! This morning this truly popped out to me as I meditated on this verse:

Psalm 139:13-14 (NLT)
You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb.  Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex!  Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it.

I am so amazed to think that my Heavenly Father is forming and fashioning this little one with His hands each and every day.  Every detail of them is being knit together by Him.  WOW! There is nothing cooler to know than that.  God is watching over this baby and crafting them to be the perfect little individual that He planned for them to be since before the foundations of the earth.  What an awesome God!

It makes me so excited to think about everything that God has in store for this little one’s life.  I cannot wait for all their wonderful character and personality to be revealed as we get to parent this baby, and watch first hand the work of God’s creative hand unfold in their life.  I am already so blessed by this little one and they are barely the size of a plum!

I cannot wait to continue to learn new things about the nature of God as we continue on in this pregnancy and begin our new life as parents.  So many people say that you truly have a new understanding of the depth of the love of God when you have your own child, and I completely believe that.  I know that God will continue to reveal Himself in new ways to Scott and I as we prepare ourselves for this precious one’s arrival.  I have already began to see and know so many different aspects of God’s amazing love since finding out that we were pregnant, and I know each day that passes it will only continue to grow.

11 Week Bumpdate

I am so very excited to be at 11 weeks pregnant!!! I love being in the double digits, feels like we are making some big progress finally!! Baby is now the size of a fig and basically fully formed. It's so exciting to think that this little one is starting to actually look like a little baby! I cannot wait until our next ultrasound so we can see this little baby up close and personal.

So, let's recap week 10!

Symptoms:  Everything has pretty much been the same as the previous weeks.  I have been super tired and love anytime that I can squeeze in a nap! Over the past few days I have been feeling extra hungry and feel like I constantly need to be snacking.  Unfortunately still have the lovely side affect of breakouts, but it's getting better than the previous week.  Overall, baby and I are both feeling great!!

Bumpdate: I don't have much of a baby bump yet.  I can feel my stomach tightening in the lower abdomen and it's definitely feeling like it's starting to push out a bit more.  I am not even sure if that makes sense to anyone but me, but I am thinking in the next few weeks the bump should start to pop out.

Cravings: I don't really have one thing that I sit and crave constantly, but I have moments throughout the day where I have a thought and really want to eat something.  Most random from the last week, Funions!! LOL!! And even more random is that fact that it was at 8 am in the morning!

What I'm looking forward to: Finding out the baby's gender and getting to see the baby! Also, our next Dr's appointment since Scott will get to come and hear the heartbeat for the first time!

Best moment this week: Finally sharing with everyone our pregnancy news!! It's so fun to hear everyone's sweet comments about baby!!!

Pregnancy Weeks 4-9 Recap

Before I was pregnant, I was always a little bit nervous about what pregnancy would be like.  What symptoms would I have?  Would I be one of those people who were so miserable all throughout their first trimester? How would pregnancy treat me?  Well, I figured since I have kept this baby news secret for the first 9 weeks that I would do a little recapping of how things have been going so far!  Inquiring minds wanna know, right?!

So here we go…..

Week 4: When I saw that positive pregnancy test, I seriously couldn’t believe that it could be true because I felt anything but pregnant.  Sure I had a few things that seemed a bit abnormal, but overall nothing had really changed too much for me.  I pretty much felt like everything was the same as always.  There were a few things that tipped me off that made me think I might be pregnant.  I had some minor stomach cramps, which never ever happens, and then also my chest was a little bit swollen and sensitive.  (Sorry if that’s TMI!!)  The biggest surprise of week 4 wasn’t that I was feeling any certain way, but rather the fact that I was actually pregnant!!

Week 5: Pregnancy so far had been treating me great! I still had the same chest soreness, and mild tugging/pulling cramps, but beyond that everything was pretty much normal. Well, except for having to pee like every 5 minutes! Oh what a perk that is! That definitely wasn’t normal, but totally comes with the territory!

At 5 weeks I had my first Dr’s appointment and had a regular blast filling what seemed like endless vials of blood for testing.  Who knew pregnancy would have such great perks? LOL! My Dr scheduled me for my first ultrasound to find out exactly how far along we were, since I have such abnormal cycles.  It was torture knowing we had to wait 2 weeks from then to see our little baby!

As far as food went, nothing really made me sick and there wasn’t really anything I craved.  I did have my first food aversion though, and it was definitely a strange one for me.  The husband was eating some Chinese food and the smell of it was so unappealing I had to cover my nose while he ate it.  Hysterical considering I am Chinese and ADORE Chinese food with a passion! Needless to say, I haven’t had any since being pregnant.

Week 6: Morning sickness? Not this girl!!!  Now I realize that some of you may hate me for this, and may even stop reading at this point out of shear anger.  I am sorry, but it just didn’t happen for me!! I seriously feel for those of you who have to go through that, but it just didn’t happen for me…thank God!!  The only times I ever felt slightly nauseated is in the middle of the night when my stomach is completely empty, or any other time when I have a completely empty stomach.  However, once I chow down it just goes away.  I find myself constantly munching and having to keep crackers on my night stand for a quick snack at 2 in the morning.

Another weird pregnancy thing I noticed going on was having a lot of saliva! Whoever would have thought that was pregnancy related? Not me!! I was totally grossed out by that and find the only solution was to have gum or some kind of candy to make it go away.  I almost feel like at times I was going to drool or something!

Week 7: The biggest highlight of week 7 was getting our ultrasound!! We had to wait until Friday for it and it was seriously the LONGEST week of my life.  I just wanted to see that little baby of ours! Once we got to the Dr’s office I was shaking because I was so nervous and excited about the whole thing.  I always thought I would be the type to cry when first seeing my baby on an ultrasound, considering I cry at nearly everything but the minute that I saw that little peanut I couldn’t stop smiling.  It was totally amazing to see our little baby with it's heart beating!! For me, in that moment I feel so in love with this tiny little baby that I saw on the screen.  I knew without a doubt that I could never love anyone else more than I do this baby.

Week 8:  Is it just me, or does anyone else need a nap? :) Yup, that's pretty much the hourly sentence I would repeat.  I could seriously take an hour or so long nap at any time. I'm just feeling so very tired.  Growing a baby is hard work! :) Besides being tired, I definitely felt bloated especially after eating.  I get hungry all the time, but can barely eat a big portion because I feel so full so fast!! Another lovely side affect of was getting breakouts seemingly everywhere.  But hey, I am not one to complain, if that's the only symptoms I'm getting then I am happy to take it!

Week 9:  At week 9 I had my 2nd Dr's appointment.  I wasn't sure if we would be able to hear the heartbeat or not because usually you have to be 10 weeks along to hear it.  My Dr said he has been able to hear it at 8 weeks and wanted to try.  It took us a while but we did find it and it was strong and healthy.  It was so amazingly wonderful getting to hear the baby's heartbeat for the first time.  I was so bummed that Scott wasn't able to make it to that appointment because I knew he would have loved being able to hear it.  I could have sat there all day long listening to it!

So far this pregnancy has been an absolute blessing!!   I couldn't have asked for things to go any better than they have been going.  It has been so easy that sometimes I forget I am actually pregnant.  I will be doing weekly updates from here on out probably on Wednesdays since that's when my weeks change over.  I can't wait to share all the fun progress we are making with this little one!!
